Registration has opened and is available to approved U.S. and Canadian members on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early to secure your place. We encourage you to book your hotel room at the time of registration.

Members should register themselves and not have a company affiliate or colleague register on their behalf. Registration for the MDRT EDGE will require attendees to identify and prioritize their personal learning goals for the meeting. MDRT will create a recommended custom schedule based on these responses. Changes to attendees’ learning objectives may not be made after September 23, 2019.

All funds must be in U.S. dollars (USD). Registration will be open until the meeting reaches capacity.

You must be registered for the meeting to book your hotel room and receive the MDRT rate. The link is available at the end of the registration process. Once you register for the meeting, you will receive a registration confirmation and a link to the hotel’s reservation page.

Pre- and post-meeting date reservations
The guest room rate will be offered by the hotel three days prior to (October 18–20) and three days after (October 23–25) the meeting, subject to availability of guest rooms and hotel occupancy at the time of reservation. 

Hotel cancellation and no-show policies 
Reservations that have been guaranteed with a credit card and/or deposit are held for you until arrival. If you do not arrive at the hotel on your scheduled arrival date, cancellation policies will apply. The hotel must receive your cancellation request at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date. Any cancellations received within 48 hours of your arrival date will result in a charge to your credit card equal to one full night’s room fee. 

Please note: Members are encouraged to reserve their rooms early. Availability is not guaranteed, and housing may close prior to the meeting. You must be registered for the meeting to book your hotel room and receive the MDRT rate. The hotel will accept reservations on a space-available basis, and the negotiated room rate is not guaranteed after September 27, 2019.

REFUNDS AND CANCELATIONS

Registration cancellation requests must be emailed to edge@mdrt.org to be eligible for a full refund. Requests for cancellation refunds must be received by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on these dates to be eligible:

• Cancellation received on or before September 20: 100% registration fee paid, less a USD 50 administration fee
• Cancellation received September 21 to October 6: 50% registration fee paid
• Cancellation received October 7 and after: No refunds

MDRT members
Only approved 2019 U.S. and Canadian MDRT members are eligible to attend the MDRT EDGE. Spouses, children, relatives, friends, business associates or aspirants are not permitted to attend any official functions or events.

ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES AND MOBILITY ASSISTANCE

Assisted listening devices
Headsets for attendees requiring listening assistance will be available to members who request the service through early and advance registration.

Mobility assistance
Attendees may obtain information on ADA requests and medical rentals by contacting Chelsea Mobility & Medical Equipment. They stock a variety of wheelchairs, walkers, rollators and bath safety products.

Ground Transportation- To and from the airport 
There are three airports in the greater New York area. The New York Marriott Marquis is approximately 35–45 minutes from LaGuardia Airport (LGA), 35–45 minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport (NEW) and 45–75 minutes from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Mode of transportation 
• Taxi service from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is approximately USD 50 one way. Taxi service from Newark Liberty International Airport (NEW) is about USD 60 one way. Taxis from all three airports are readily available.

• Uber and Lyft are available in New York.
• Subway service is available from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) for USD 2.75 (one way).
