English is the official language of the 2020 MDRT Global Conference. MDRT provides simultaneous interpretation of Main Platform presentations and select Focus Sessions (when at least 50 registered members have requested interpretation in a common language) for a maximum of 12 languages. If more than 12 languages are requested, simultaneous interpretation will be provided in the first 12 languages that meet the requirement. Requests for simultaneous interpretation must be made at the time of registration. All requests for interpretation must be received on or before Monday, May 4, 2020. Attire for the MDRT meeting is business casual. Neckties and similar clothing are not required, but feel free to wear what makes you comfortable. We suggest you research the location of the meeting for any inclement weather and dress accordingly.

The MDRT Global Conference Flag Ceremony will be held on the Main Platform stage. During this ceremony, all countries in attendance will be highlighted and celebrated. The official cutoff for countries to register to be included in the ceremony is July 8.

As with any large city, it’s important to stay alert and pay attention to your surroundings. Remove your attendee badge when outside of the meeting — don’t draw attention to the fact you’re from out of town.

Don’t be distracted by your phone — walking with your head down or earbuds in could make you a target for theft. Carry your personal items in front of you and close to your body. Do not leave purses or bags unattended or on the back of your chairs at restaurants.

Registration and attendance at or participation in MDRT meetings or other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to MDRT’s or its licensees’ use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant’s or attendee’s image and voice in photographs, videos, electronic reproductions and audio recordings of such events or activities.

Attendees may obtain information on special assistance requests and medical rentals by contacting Everything Medical. Everything Medical stocks a variety of wheelchairs, bathroom equipment, walkers and rollators and offers equipment rentals, repairs and evaluations.

Giving your badge to another person for admission to any Global Conference function is not permitted and could result in confiscation of your badge, loss of attendance privileges and further action from the MDRT Ethics Committee, possibly resulting in your membership being revoked.

Please be aware that no food or beverages may be brought into the convention centre or official MDRT venues where sessions are held. Food and beverages will be available for purchase inside the venues, and there are a variety of restaurant options nearby.

Your luggage should be stored in your hotel room or with the hotel bell stand, if necessary, on the day of your departure. Luggage storage will not be allowed at any MDRT meeting venue, and any unattended personal items will be confiscated for the safety of all attendees.

Attendees may obtain information on special assistance requests by completing that section during Advance Registration. A representative will contact you based upon the information you provide.
