MDRT Productivity Action Plan
Your clients need you more than ever to help them navigate the current uncharted terrain. And MDRT has the solutions to assist you with doing just that. The current pandemic is having a painful, negative and extreme effect on MDRT’s global membership, the companies they represent and their clients. To assist you with better serving your clients, MDRT is pleased to offer the MDRT Productivity Action Plan, designed to provide a means to requalify for MDRT membership in 2021 and continued access to MDRT’s rich collection of resources, dynamic community and inspiring meetings offerings when they are needed the most. To that end, MDRT has committed to the following in 2020:
Waiving the USD 200 membership application late fee for all applicants in 2020. Join at any time.
Providing an MDRT Focus on Resources website hub full of relevant, top-notch content on a variety of topics to help MDRT members, as well as general agents/agency managers, better serve their clients during this difficult time. Let’s get back to business.
Providing the virtual Annual Meeting content, community and motivation at the low member price of USD 149, making attendance at this historic, “can’t miss” experience affordable for all. Learn from and connect with the best in the business when it is needed most.
Waiving the membership production requirement in 2021 for anyone who was an MDRT member in 2019 or 2020. Welcome back, you have earned it.
The 2021 production requirement for prior-to-2019 members or those applying for the first time will be adjusted based on the 2020 requirement due to the effects of the pandemic. It’s only fair.
MDRT is fiscally sound in this economy and has no plans to increase dues in 2021. Dues will remain at USD 550

2020 MDRT Annual Meeting and Global Conference Virtual Event
MDRT is working hard to find ways for you to get the content you need to keep your business moving forward and help your clients. To do this, together, we are all adjusting and pivoting. In order to meet MDRT’s community needs, we have a special announcement. The 2020 MDRT Annual Meeting and Global Conference are joining to become one Virtual Event.

2020 MDRT membership remains open and to make sure you do not miss out on a year of membership with us, the Executive Committee has decided to remove the $200 late fee traditionally instated after the membership deadline. If a member joins or renews at any time in 2020, they will pay the regular rate of $550. We want you to know that MDRT is here for its members during this uncertain time. By remaining at the forefront of industry trends, we can share insights with our members to empower them to best protect and prepare clients. Apply now and start taking advantage of the practical tools and insights to best support your clients through this difficult time. In the coming weeks and months you will see information and tools all provided to help you leverage MDRT’s resources and generous community and navigate this uncertain time successfully.
Online membership applications will continue to be accepted and are the best and fastest way to proceed with membership.
If you are using a paper application to apply, please use MDRT’s secure payment site to make a dues payment by credit card.
If you mailed your membership application and have not yet received approval, please understand that due to limited mail and courier delivery, paper application processing will be delayed. An email will automatically be sent upon approval to the email address on record. You may also check the status of your application by visiting our online portal or emailing us.
For approved 2020 members, MDRT will not currently be sending paper membership certificates. If an electronic copy is needed, you may request one to be emailed to you at certificaterequest@mdrt.org. Please allow 5–7 business days for processing.

All plaque orders will be processed as usual. Please allow approximately 4-6 weeks for domestic delivery and 6-8 weeks for international delivery. All other items are available for purchase, but will be shipped after May 18th. Please allow additional time for delivery.

Can I get a membership refund since the Annual Meeting is now a virtual event?

MDRT is not refunding memberships due to changes in how the Annual Meeting will be conducted. While we recognize the convenience of being in the same physical location, the meeting will still retain the same value and spirit our members know and love - with exceptional content and unmatched opportunities to connect with the top producers from around the world. MDRT members also have access to MDRT’s unsurpassed content, connections and exclusive online member benefits throughout the year. MDRT Is committed to delivering value for members during these challenging times.
