Award Recipient - Joanne Consiglio
Nominating Member - Barb Schell
Values – Communication, Respect, Teamwork

The program staff has a lot of interaction with Joanne regarding wire transfers and monitoring our budget accounts. She has always responded to every question or request quickly, courteously and respectfully. She always copies us when notifying a recipient that a wire transfer has been sent. Having this communication is extremely helpful when someone contacts us with questions about when they will be paid. We feel we can count on Joanne's support and assistance when working through any finance related issues. We definitely feel she is part of our team.

Award Recipient – Austin Hurley, Steve Faulhaber, Marie Holcomb, Vickie Lekan, Maureen Gallagher, Michael St. John, Marianne Thvedt, Tony Pittman, Colleen Schneider, Audra Kubilius, Jeanne Malone
Nominating Member – Barb Schell
Values – Teamwork, fun, and excellence

For the July Program Development Committee (PDC) Steering Committee meeting, the Divisional Vice President and Executive Committee liaison asked for a movie and pizza night to watch the YouTube videos submitted through the Virtual Speaker Audition.

Austin located a vendor--not once, but twice--who would rent us comfy couches and chairs. He made a trip to the original vendor to check out the white furniture and discovered it was not up to MDRT quality. So, he had to find the second vendor. He arranged for delivery and pickup of the furniture. On the evening of the event, he and Steve moved furniture out and in and out and in again in the combined Todd and Stever rooms to turn two meeting rooms into a home movie theater for the PDC and back again before the following morning's meeting. By 9:45 p.m., one would never have known that just 45 minutes earlier, the area was a movie theater.

Maureen, Marie and Vickie turned the space into a movie theatre with a concession stand with popcorn and boxes of candies you find at real theaters, posters of classic films to decorate the gathering space outside the conference rooms and even movie tickets. Maureen came back after the meeting ended to help put away all the food stuff.

Michael and Tony were the technical crew, not only getting the flat screens set up for the viewing, but also finding and setting up a VHS projector so we could accommodate the request to show some video from the 2001 Toronto Main Platform. Thanks to Marianne for being our research librarian and tracking down the VHS tapes from the 2001 Annual Meeting Main Platform.

Tony was our "projectionist," pulling up all the YouTube videos and DVD to be watched during the viewing. Jeanne, Audra and Colleen also helped with the set up, tear down and keeping things running smoothly. It was an excellent display of teamwork, excellence and fun from the beginning of the planning stages to the end.

If you would like to see a 2-minute, video-guided tour of the first-ever MDRT Movie Night, go to the M Drive at M:\2014 MDRT Committee Meetings\PDC.

Award Recipient – Michael St. John
Nominating Member – India Alexis Ehioba
Values – Teamwork, respect and excellence

Michael St. John played a key role in the upgrade of the Foundation database (Raiser's Edge) and worked closely with staff to make sure that the transition was seemless and completely invisible to our member donors. He was also very receptive to our ideas on how we could incorporate improvements to the software based upon our goals. He also coordinated with the Foundation staff to make sure that this system upgrade enabled the program to work on our iPads, which is a huge leap in productivity when we are on the road. Also, Michael always has a pleasant, positive and respectful disposition even when we are making mistakes that require simple solutions. He never makes us feel bad and we are glad that he is around.
