The 2014 MDRT Annual Meeting program offers a variety of session offerings. The descriptions below of each type will help you create a customize schedule to achieve your goals for the meeting.
Main Platform
These are the Annual Meeting’s general sessions. It takes place Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and on Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The program features seven to eight member and nonmember speakers each day. Each speaker has been chosen for their ability to inspire, motivate, educate and entertain attendees.
Special Sessions
The 2014 MDRT Annual Meeting offers several Special Sessions which give attendees new tools and ideas for personal and professional development.
This year’s Special Sessions begin Saturday with two Pre-Meeting Workshops. There will also be a session on Monday and Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon. These five programs are prepaid ticketed events.
Two of the Special Sessions are for specific audiences and are held on Sunday. The program for Court of the Table/Top of the Table members includes a speaker and reception and begins at 11 a.m. The First Time Experience is open to first-time meeting attendees. It takes place on Sunday afternoon beginning at 4:30 p.m. There is no charge for either of these events, but a ticket is required.
Focus Sessions
Often referred to as the afternoon sessions, Focus Sessions comprise the industry education component of the Annual Meeting program. These sessions are held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
There are several content categories with five sessions per category over the three days: Protection, Sales Ideas, Wealth Management, Practice Management, Whole Person and Language-Specific.
Language-Specific sessions are facilitated idea-sharing sessions offered in a language other than English.
Language-Specific Idea Exchanges will be held in Cantonese, English, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin and Spanish during the 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. period on Wednesday morning.
